Is Cefixime, Taxim-O The Right Medication For Fever In A Baby?
i have a kid having 6.80 weight, 9 months old. since yesterday there is fever vary between 101 to now 99. we had given crocin 0.7 two times yesterday. now when showing today to pediatrician he advised us the medicine cefixime, oral suspension taxim-O dry syrup 50 mg. please suggest this is the right medicine for cure fever.

Cefixime is absolutely safe for children.
Many times antibiotics added empirically/as a preventive measure suspecting some infection in the body.
Child to be atleast investigated for CBC, which can give some idea that whether baby is having some bacterial infection or simply some viral infection.
