Is Candid Cream Effective In Treatment Of Echo In The Ear?
Hi Doctor , i recently had vast coughing for almost two month that has affected my right ear , i can hear anything but when I speak I feel there is an echo .. I went to the doctor today and told him this problem he prescribed for me Candid -B cream to be used inside my ear instead of Candid ear drop .. I m Puzzled to use this cream .
Candid B cream contains a medication that treats fungal infection and one that treats eczema. In your case, having an echo in the ear, very likely the problem is due to a problem with the middle ear and the cream will not be helpful as it does not reach there.
I would advise you to see an ENT doctor and have a careful examination of the ear and eardrums and also a tympanogram and audiogram. These will determine if your symptoms are due to lesions in the middle ear or due to the Eustachian tubes being blocked and will further determine the needed treatment.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
