Is Boniva,suggested For Osteopenia?

My doctor has just prescribed 70 mg of Fosamax, one tablet per week. I have osteopenia and it is worsening. I do not like the sounds of the side effects, and the routine you have to go through once per week, I do have sensitive stomach issues. I have been researching and I would much prefer taking something once per month like Boniva. Your thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!
