Is Benadryl The Right Medication For Hand, Foot And Mouth Disease?
grandson has Hand foot mouth disease...his doctor verified...no meds of course other than Benadryl for itching and a cream to stop itching..my question because of danger of meningitis and encephalitis (brain swelling) should they also give him like and Advil to keep swelling down? If the rash is itchy, an over-the-counter anti-itch cream will help.
An antihistamine like Benadryl given by mouth can also help ease itching.
