Talking to my son today he said the one I babysat for has a bacterial sinus infection going on. I have Acylovir for another issue I had a few months ago will that work for this issue do you think?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

No, acyclovir will not work.
Acyclovir is anti viral drug.
It affects only on viruses.
It has no role on bacteria.
Since sinusitis is acute bacterial infection of sinuses, you need antibiotic (effective against bacteria).
So don't take acyclovir.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
