Hi Hina… Welcome to healthcaremagic community forum… Sexual intercourse a few months ago is in no way responsible for the delayed period that you presently have, unless there was another unprotected sexual intercourse recently… Delayed period doesn’t necessarily mean pregnancy unless confirmed by pregnancy test.. Isolated menstrual irregularity can occur due to stress, nutritional factors and other physiological reasons. Usually they do settle on its self during subsequent cycles… However, if such irregular periods persist, then clinical evaluations for ovarian, hormonal and uterine disorders are to be looked for… Hence there are no reasons for concern.. Your periods should be normalizing in your subsequent cycles.. Consult a gynecologist if cycles are irregular in the subsequent cycles… Regards
