Intense Pain In Eyes While Seeing Bright Light. Mantoux Test Positive. Is This Due To Infection In Chest?

Hello doctor, When I see (even very low) bright light I am experiencing the intense pain in my both eyes from last 1 month especially when they turned red, but recently same was happened when they were not looking red. My doctor has asked me to do several test like CBC,ESR, MT, RA Factor, ANA our of which my Mantoux Test is positive and rest are negative. The lady who does these test and gave me the report said that ther is infection in my chest and hence MT is positive. So my question is whether chest and eye have any connection. And my problem is curable or not because I need to spend my at least 9-0 hrs infront of PC.

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
Mantoux test is the standard recommended tuberculin test. The test is used to determine if someone has developed an immune response to the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB). This response can occur if someone currently has TB, if they were exposed to it in the past, or if they received the BCG vaccine against TB .You have chest infection it can be tuberculosis,X-ray and clinical symptoms will be taken together to start the treatment.
photophobia is most probably due to eye stress as you spend at least 9-10 hrs infront of PC.you must visit opthalmologist and get your eyes checked.
Hope this helps!Take care!
