Instant Swelling And Pain After Inner Side Of Ankle Hit By Softball

Today i was playing softball. I play 3rd base. I got hit with a line drive ball twice. The first time it wasnt that bad. I was able to walk it off. Then a few minutes later, I got hit in the exact same spot. Its the inner side of my ankle. It instantly started swelling and it hurt really bad to walk. Its still swollen and bruised pretty bad after icing it 3 times. It is super tender to touch and hurts when i point my foot down. I did NOT twist my ankle or anything. only got hit from a softball. Im also wondering, if it is just a bruise, is it normal for it to hurt to walk?

After going through your query it should not be a serious injury. Having said that you may apply compression bandage and limb elevation with minimal walking. Take drug's like ibuprofen,trysin chymotrypsin after consultation with your local doctor, since these are prescription drugs.
If swelling and pain persists for 2-3 days then get x ray done.
