I AM ASADUZZAMAN.2 YEARS AGO I WENT BAD A PLACE WORK WITH WOMEN.MY PROBLEM IS VERY BIG.I HAVE 2 YEARS HIV INFECTION INFECTED..NOW PLS GIVE ME SAGGIEST...I HAVE DO THE BLOOD TEST WITHOUT OTHERS TEST.DR SAYING NO PROBLEM..BUT I M DAY DAY ILLNESS .MY AGE IS 23 YEARS OLD.I AM BANGLADESHI.MY CITY DHAKA.......PLS DR ADVISE ME.....THANK U SIR.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
I assume you're asking me the blood tests and other tests that you need to find out the cause of the infection. Let me know if I got it wrong.
These would include a complete blood count, a Chest Xray, VDRL, ultrasound of the abdomen, Sputum for AFB and culture and probably a MRI of the brain. The tests would depend on what symptoms you have.

Thanks for posting your query.

I am sorry about your HIV positive status. Be reassured that you are fine.

Once your HIV status is confirmed, you need to regularly check your CD4+ count. It is a type of white blood cells. You may do it every 6 months to check your immune status.

Do not panic. The management of HIV infection includes a multidisciplinary approach. Diet is very important.

Please be in regular consultation with your primary care physician.
