Increase In Ear Pain With Use Of Ear Buds And Hydrogen Peroxide. Complete Ear Block After Using Prescribed Soliwax. Normal?
I ve been having ear pain for 2 days. So i tried using hydrogen peroxide to remove the ear wax. But it didnt work. When i tried using ear buds the pain only increased. So i went to a nearby hospital. The duty doctor prescribed soliwax for 3 days and asked me to see an ENT. Now the pain is tolerable but my ear is completely blocked. Is this normal. When will my hearing return to normal?

in dry wax if you use buds the wax is pushed inside and cause pain
the drops atr to dissolve wax as wax dissolves the pain is less
and as it dissolves the ear become more deaf
go on putting drops when pain completely goes and ear is completely deaf
get cleaned by ent specialist you will be fine

You have wax in the ears which needs to be cleaned. Hydrogen peroxide/ Soliwax drops are wax softeners. They will soften the wax, which will aid in easier removal. Once the wax softens, your ENT Specialist will clean your ears by a procedure called syringing. Once the wax is removed, hopefully you should hear better. In the meantime don't use ear buds, as they will traumatise the ear canal and push the wax further inside leading to more pain. So, continue using the drops for 4-5 days and see your doctor.
