I Have Diabetes, Sugar And Blood Pressure

Can I be dying I have diabetes and sugar has been 267 and blood pressure has been 150 .Have been getting really sick lately with dizzy spells and water weight..

Cool down! You cant be dying. Patients with blood glucose 400 mg/dl and BP 200/140 are still living. But it doesn't mean that I am encouraging you to go for that. Yes, you are right in thinking so, because diabetes doesn't kill but the complications arising out of diabetes kills. It means that your chances of dying because of heart attack is increased by 2-3 fold if you are a diabetic than not. Same is the case with smoking or Hypertension.
Also understand if you are a diabetic, you have 285 million people on earth for company. So what do you do if you have diabetes is, to maintain your blood glucose levels. By 267 mg/dl I interpret that to be your Post-prandial glucose. Getting it to atleast 200 mg/dl first should be your first goal. Try exercise ( half-hour walking 5 times a week, dieting, and Metformin 500mg, Altase 5 mg as a first measure. (if you are not on any). Kindly write to me on your age, duration of diabetes, your latest blood values for me to suggest you medications. Take care.
