I Am Having Hearing Problem With Some Kind Of Pain
I am having hearing problem since 4 or 6 years I am having hearing problem since 4 or 6 years and i consult a doctor and hes given me medicine to follow always every doctor i visited ...the problem is i having ringing in both ear sometime and pain sometime and and sometime i blow the nose and its becomes normal to me then after fews hours or days its got same hearing loss plz tel l me its wax or i having some broken thing in ear and also i had nose block oftens!

Try with mucolytics (such as Bromhexine or ambroxyl) this will reduce the viscosity of the secretions and help in clearing of the secretions. Please, bear in mind this will take sometime for the block to get relieved if you are consistently doing steam inhalation and gentle blowing of the nose, as it is causing you trouble since very long. Meanwhile please get Impedance audiometry and Pure tone audiometry done.

It is indeed difficult to comment whether you have wax in the ear or not, as of now without examining. I would like to advice you to get a pure tone audiogram and an impedance audiometry done. This will throw some light on the problem you are having and we might be able to help you out.

Hi,
With your query I can sense that you are indeed very much upset with the previous consultation with your ENT doctor. Well! Let me explain to you how it happens. There is a tube called Eustachian tube (which connects the nose to the ear), whenever this tube gets blocked there is variations in the pressure inside the ear. This will cause accumulation of fluid inside the middle ear. When you yawn, or open the mouth or blow your nose hardly this tube gets opened and the pressure is balanced. This is what happening with you. This condition is called "Eustachian tube Dysfunction", you can get the above investigations which I suggested to you. Also, do steam inhalations 2-3times every day and drink plenty of warm water. Any more doubts you are welcome.

Do not worry the pain is because of the release of pressure in the middle ear. Please use saline nasal drops 10 min before steam inhalation because saline nasal drops will relieve the nasal block and later you can take steam inhalation. It will be more effective this way. Please do not put finger into the ear it might hurt you more because of the inflammation of the canal skin.
