Hi....i have sunburn on my forehead and it is very swollen...i went to the spanish pharmacy and the gave me cream...CALMIOX(hydrocortisona) to be applied 3 times a day.(yesterday morning).. I havent slept all night as i have pressure in it and it seems to be spreading accross now.i have applied ice through the night and drank lots of water.do i need to be concerend or will it settle?
As per my clinical experience, seems to be second degree superficial or deep burns. Additional measures for better recovery: - Local application of calamine lotion 3 times a day - Avoid exposure to direct or excess sunlight - Prescription of antibiotic as amoxycillin or mox-clav, anti-inflammatory as serratiopeptidase with diclofenac - Multi vitamins, minerals, anti oxidant tablets - Control of blood sugar - Avoid pricking or puncturing the blisters (which may flare inflammation or cause secondary bacterial infection) - Balanced nutritious diet
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
