How To Treat Severe IBS While Having Hypothyroidism In A 55 Years Female?

I have extreme IBS. All I see in the toilet is colored water, with food that did not process through my intestional tract. I take a EX probotic by Andrew Lesman during the day, and Lotomil at night. I still have problems controlling my bowels. At night when I relax, during sleep, I usually have a mishap I wake up to; sometimes a few at night. Then I have expelled everything, and my electrolytes diminish, and my legs feel achy, stomach sickly. What can I take to alievate this problem. You can understand as to why I cannot have relations with anyone, because of this. I am 55 y/o female, with hypothyroism. This has been going on, ever since I have had this thyroid problem which has been 10 yrs. PS I also take 20meq K bid.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be the diverticulitis, colitis, anxiety neurosis, or may be the side effect of the drugs you use for hypothyroid.
I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, ornidazole, ranitidine for 10 days, then ranitidine300 for longer period.
Avoid spices, junk foods, and oily foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
