How To Treat Itchy, Puss Oozing Scabies On Elbow?

My elbow was really itchy before..I started scratching and since yesterday I noticed I eitha scratched too much it looks like little pimples that have turned into scabs except when I squueze ma elbow to ease the itchiness pus and fluid starts coming out.do you think its an infection or could be cause of dry skin in the elbow area

Hi,

I can understand your concern for puss oozing spots on elbow area.

There can be a possibility of secondary infection in your case.

You should meet your treating doctor to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as gentamycin or fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.
