How To Treat Fever And Cough During Pregnancy?

I am 36 weeks pregnant with a terrible cold. I went to urgent care on Sat at the onset and tested negative for flu and strep. Have gotten worse over last few days... No fever but lots of drainage and now cough with nonstop runny eyes. Tylenol cold has helped though I feel like there is no end in sight. Should I call doc again tomm or keep trying otc stuff?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
With your doctor's advice you can follow following measures:
-Antibiotic to control the possible infection.
-Antihistamines to control the cough and running nose.
-Cough syrup.
Though cough and cold are common problems, they should be treated carefully in pregnancy. Take care.
