Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your mother have elevated levels of ESR which could be due to chronic inflammation in body. Raised ESR itself is not a disease rather it is associated with underlying systemic diseases. Certain pathological conditions such as anemia, polycythemia, tuberculosis and autoimmune disease could be the cause for raised this. In your case it seems to be due to diabetes, asthma and hepatitis which lowered down immunity of body. ESR level indicates level of infection in body, once infection will be subsided it will come back to normal. Need not to worry. Take carrot juice, spinach. Drink plenty of water I would suggest you to take diet rich in iron. Get blood tests done after every one month. Visit general physician once and get reports examined. Visit general physician once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
