How To Treat Dislocated Nose Causing Problem In Breathing?

hi, 8 years ago i hit my nose while diving, it did not bleed but i had a very awful pain and had deviation, mean my nose move to the right side, i forced myself to put it back immediately as i will not have much pain than i already had, but i visted the doctor next day and had an x-ray. the doctor heard my accident and with no alarm he pushed back my nose to its place with his full strength, as he said that i did right upon the accident but it still have one more push to be back at its original place. but my problem is since that time, i could not breath well, it seems as my nose is almost closed and i am having headache form time to time, it is not a big problem that led me to visist specialist but it is becoming irritating, and to get relief i had to push my nose to some way to get more air breath into the nasal. can you please tell me if i had any internal deviation and i have to do more test? i need to breath smoothly again and to move away the headache. thank u

Hello,

It looks like you had a broken nose or DNS which should have been treated by now. Since you are unable to breath properly, nose seems stuffed & are having headache from time to time, you need to get it treated. You are suggested to visit an ENT, get X-RAY PNS or CT done. If you have a deviated nasal septum, it cannot be left untreated as in the long run it will not only cause headache but also sinusitis along with worsening of breathing problems. You may need rhinoplasty to re-align your nose, septorhinoplasty to repair the nasal septum or closed reduction surgery. You will be treated with medicines and antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
