How To Treat Dermatitis And Care For A Bed Ridden Person?

My father is completely bed ridden due to ALS and can only be bathed with a sponge. He also has a neck fracture which makes it impossible to wash his head as needed, very good, considering he has Seborrheic Dermatitis . Is there anything I can do to keep this under control and will he be worse since he is constantly laying on the back of his scalp.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You can use antifungal ointments such as clotrimazole or miconazole. Also, you can use shampoo lotions with ketoconazole.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
