How To Treat A Broken Collar Bone?

I broke my collar bone and first rib this past march and it still hurts around the area. I start nursing school in a week and was hoping I would be completely healed by then, but this does not seem to be the case. Do you know when all the pain should go away completely?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Pain is due to local inflammation.

Surgery is not required probably.

As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
