How To Treat PCOS?

Hi. I have PCOS, Polyp and thickened uterine wall which was causing irregular and painful menstruation. The OBGYN put me on Duphaston 2 months ago and after taking 2 tablets for ten days and stopping I usually experienced a period in 3-4 days. After my last set of duphaston I have not experienced a period yet ad it has been over a week. what should I do?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

In the current scenario, I would ask you to get a proper clinical evaluation and exclude pregnancy if you are sexually active. If negative, please wait for your period until ten days after the hormone course. If there is no response, further investigation is needed to plan proper management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
