How To Stop One From Drinking Alcohol?

my partner is a diagnosed alcoholic. She is continuing to drink and steals money from me in order to keep the drinking going. I have noticed, last week, she has yellow skin (face) and yellowing of the whites of her eyes. She says she is okay and will stop drinking but i know this will not happen. What do I do to help?

Hi,

It appears that she has developed jaundice due to alcoholic liver disease. She needs to see a doctor as soon as possible and get some tests done. She also needs to stop drinking as otherwise she will end up damaging her liver irreversibly. In my opinion, the best thing you can do for her is to take her to see a doctor. Once she is confronted with reports detailing the damage alcohol has already done, she may be more willing to quit. Medicines can make it quite easy for her to quit alcohol as compared to doing it herself.

Best wishes.
