How To Reduce Weight?

I need to lose weight. I stay very tired and lethargic. I have 40 lbs to lose and I also stay very hungry. I drink lots of water and try to watch what I eat but I end up cheating because of my appetite. I really need to get the weight off so that hopefully my energy will increase so that I can start exercising and be healthy and keep the weight off. Any suggestions? I feel rather hopeless.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Feeling tired and lethargic, increased weight and increased appetite may be due to thyroid disorders.
Thus, I suggest you to get thyroid profile done to assess the levels of thyroid hormones.
At the same time, complete hemogram with peripheral blood smear examination is required.
Complete hemogram is required to assess the level of hemoglobin to know the level and type of anemia.
Anemia is a common cause of tiredness and lethargy thus complete hemogram is necessary.
Thyroid profile will determine any disorders of thyroid hormones and thus it can be managed.
Consult your physician for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
