How To Quit Smoking?

I was prescribed Wellbutrin to help me quit smoking. It has been almost 2 months without smoking but I can feel that without the medicine I could very easily give in to my urges to smoke. I have become extremely irritable and agitated. I am having a hard time finding any positivity and I dwell on my negative emotions. I am a wife and mother and cannot deal with these symptoms. I feel though that I could easily give in to my urge to smoke without the medication. Are there any other similar meds that I could ask my doctor for?

Hello,

Firstly, I would like to say the drug you are taking is good but if you want to change it, I may suggest you have Fluoxetine. Do not exceed 70-80 mg per day.

Secondly, for smoking cessation, you can use nicotine gum. If you think, there is no requirement for any replacement therapy of smoking, then, do not use anything.

It is best if you can program yourself without any medication. Fluoxetine may give your mind peace and positive emotions.

Take a deep sleep. If you have any disturbances in mind, you can also take some psychological counseling.

Do some yoga. Have good healthy foods. Enjoy the life. Watch movies. Practice your hobby. Take a trip with family.

Do whatever I told you for 2 months, then, you can again post another question if you need further assistance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
