Hi there.

Lump of such nature could be :
1. Lipoma .(fat collection)
2. Cyst
3. Localized herniated muscle.

Most of such swellings are left alone if they don't cause any symptoms.

They are to be removed when :
1. They cause excess pain
2. They start increasing in size
3. They become infected or there is change in its consistency or colour.

As for now.....kindly get a FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology ) done
This will tell about its characteristics.

Further treatment will depend on the FNAC report.
If it bothers you too much. ....get it removed anyway.

I hope my advice has helped
Good luck
