Hi,



For the past 2 years I have had lichen planus and lichen planopilaris, I have seen a couple of dermatologist and we have managed to control lichen planus through prescibed medication.



However I still have active case of lichen planopilaris as I keep loosing hair on my head.



I have been prescibed prednisolone tablets (started at 25mg and gradually reduced to 2mg per day) and two tablets of Plaquenil Tablets -

Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate over the last 2 years.



My concerns are;



- Taking these tablets over a long period will have some side affect, if so what are they and what can I do about it ?

- I would like to explore alternate medicine or healthy diet option if there is such for this condition, are there any suggestions ?

- Is this condition somehow related to me having a Vasectomy, as it only appeared once I had this procedure ?
