How To Get Rid Of PCOD Problem?

I am 30yr, 5.4" n 64kg n have problem of PCOD. So, my doc has planned to go with HCG injection for three cycles, if it would be unsuccessful we ll follow IUI. i reduced my weight to 64, due to which my cycle has come doen to 45 days, which earlier occur on 2-2.5 months gap. also, keeping in the insulin related factor, i followed a diet more a kind of required for Diabetic-II i.e with less carbohydrates bur more protein n vitamins etc.. my questions are :
1) i got ultrasound done on 9th day n found that there is 11mm follicle in right ovary. then doc called me on 15th day n they found nothing, no mature follicle or free fluid. they seemed to me bit confused that whether follicle ruptured on its own or it never developed. my ET was 10.5mm. is it possible that that 11mm follicle, which was seen in Rt ovary on 9th day, matured and got ruptured on its own because as i lost weight my hormonal balance may have started working towards more normal position.
2) two doctors i consulted previously put me on glycophage, due to which my menstural cycle reduced to just one day. i told them the problem, but insisted me to follow with glycophage to control the insulin resistence occuring becuase of PCOD. finally being not satisfied with thier treatment i switched to my prsent doc n decided to reduce my weight to 60kg to control insulin resistence problem. do you think, glycophage is must for PCOD or reducing weight would solve the problem of insulin resistence n help me in conceiving.
3) my last question is for how long one should lie down after the procedure of IUI. and what can i n my husband ,do on my part to make IUI successful, if required at last.
