How To Get Off Of Wellbutrin Which Has Been Taken For 25 Yrs To Subside Cyclical Hormonal Depression?

I have been taking Wellbutrin or it's generic for 25 years. I started taking it for cyclical (hormonal) depression. Since then I have gone through menopause and no longer have the monthly mood swings. I would like to go off of it, but every time I try gradually tapering off, I get emotional and weepy at the slightest thing. I am now 58 years old and am concerned about long-term effects. What would you recommend?

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

You have been taking wellbutrin for last 25 years and if you want to get it off, then do it gradually. You did not mention the dose, but gradually by 50mg per week. Means if your dose is around, 200mg, then it would take one month to stop it. This way, you would get any withdrawal symptoms. In case you need further help, you can connect me.

Thanks
