How To Confirm Gout?

have a spot on my left foot looks bruised very sore, have had an mri and x-ray showed inflmation now i have develped another spont on the same foot on the pad right behind my large toe. doctors said gout - maybe also blood showed some infection. i served 26 months in viet nam am wondering if after this many years i may have something strting to affect me.

The gout may be confirmed by physical examination along with blood test for raised serum uric acid (above 6mg/dl) and finding of uric acid crystal in joint fluid aspirate.
