How Safe Is Taking Bactrim For Lung Infection?

I have been taking Bactrim for several months with two other medications for lung inflamation. I have had a horrible taste in month mouth the entire time. I originally thought that it was from the Prednisone but I m off that now and the problem is still with me. I take 3 per week. It appears to me now that it s worse the day I take it. I am also still taking Azathioprine 150mg per day. I also have nausea. I can t stand to eat anymore because everything tastes the same, horrible. I am getting very depressed. My doctor said that it can t be the Bactrim. Please advise. Thanks, Romayne

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, "Bactrim" is antibiotic and it works only when it is infection if this is not infection then it wont here, you have not mentioned the clinical symptoms any more, taking antibiotic without any indication is not at all advisable, better wait for some time stop all the medicine you are having, no need to worry about it, everything would be fine, hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
