There is always a need of reassessment in case of delayed response. There is always a possibility of a mistake in the diagnosis,or some complications developing and they have to be treated accordingly
I was referred to an opthomologist 5days ago ( Friday 26th Aug) due to Conjunctivitis & keratitis - reduced vision in one eye, watery, itchy eyes, light sensitivity. I m a contact lens wearer, however haven t worn my lenses for over a week. I ve been prescribed antibiotic eye drops & ointment, however there has been no improvement in my sight or light sensitivity - how long should it take before my vision improves and my eye becomes less sensitive to light. I ve to go back to opthomologist in 6days time (Monday 6th Sept) for a check up.

I am one of those few people who believe they developed conjunctivitis quite possibly as a result of taking Buspar. I was on 5mg, 2xday for 7 days, then 10 mg 2xday for 7 days. Later went to 15mg 2x day. When started Buspar also went on Alprrazalam ER 1xday. Within very short time, noticed red, runny eyes. on waking and during day. Eyes (esp left eye) would actually drip fluid. Eye Dr. said dry eye & recom. eye drops. For long time had difficulty adjusting to the goo and trying to see through glasses. Have had negative effects with meds (extreme dizziness after taking B (and maybe the Alp--who knows?) so Dr has me reduce Buspar back to 10mg 2x day. Still dizzy although not extremely so. Expect I may be told to reduce even further--haven t talked to him yet.. Gooey, dripppy eyes persist. Doctor doesn t believe any correlation between my eyes and my meds. What do you think?
Hi I have a four month old son who had sticky eyes after birth and was given eye drops I used them for a a week or two and now his right eye is better and the left is getting better but it looks considerably smaller than the other. I stopped using them much beofre i started to notice the change. What could be causing this? Could it be the eye drops?
My 4 month old litt;e baby boy has an eye infection since birth. He has a green discharge from the eye and constant watering of the eye which is making the skin ont he side of his face very red and sore. He has had two courses of eye drops (antibiotics) which made no difference at all. Lately I noticed that the second eye is becoming infected. I am currently just washing it with sterile water and cotten wool as I have been from birth but still no improvement. Should I see the dr again?
I have angioedema, however, the redness, itching and discomfort I have been experiencing for the past week is growing worse and is only located on the outsides of both underarms. I take doxepin for the angioedema. I have been using three new prescription eye drops for cataract pre/post op: 1. Gatifloxacin 2. Lotemax and 3. Prolensa (my next op is 6/30/14 for my right eye). This new condition only began after my first cataract surgery on 6/16/14 and kept me awake most of last night. I am using neosporone on both sites. Thank you for any information you might offer. CW
