How Long Should Medications For Idiopathic Hirsutism Be Taken?

I unfortunely have idiopathic hirsutism, which feels like a death sentence. It didn't come until I was in my late thirties. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me spironolactone. I have been taking this since November and really haven't seen much of a result. The only thing they gave me was a blood test to tell me that I had this. How reliable is the blood test, can your blood level read different at certain times of the day. Also I was wondering how long do you have take the medicine to see any result. Thanks
