How Long Naproxen Will Take To Cure Chest Inflammation ?
Hi my name is Steven, im 20 years old. I am 5 feet 11 and I weight 178 pounds. I recently posted a question about my problem and got a great answer but unfortunately for somethinhg i didnt have. So since my problem got worst i ended up going to the hospital anyway since i couldnt take the pain. I waited 9 hours at the hospital and during that time they made me do a blood test , some kind of electro thing to see if my heart was fine and they made me do an x-ray. Everything came out fine and the doctor told me that i probably had a muscle inflamation in my left chest . He prescribed me to take 2 pills of naproxen a day for the next ten days. Aisde from telling me that i had a muscle inflamation and giving me naproxen he did not give me any tips to help me take that pain away. My question is How long does it take to make my pain go away?I dont cough but the pain is really annoying and goes to my arms/wrist and throat sometimes. I also sometimes feel cold, have a rapid heart rate and have a hard time sleeping. Naproxen does not help me relieve me from the pain but apparently it is mainly to get the inflamation to go away. Any tips or sugestions of what I can do? Thank you for answering and reading this.

from the description it seems that you already have been examined and tests done and any thing serious has been excluded
naproxen take care of pain also
if you are still having all the symptoms and pain persisting you should go for full medical check up and further tests done to reach a proper diagnosis and treatment takeas advised

Naproxen is used to treat pain or inflammation . i think you should go for some extra lab investigation and detailed physical examination.better to consult another physician.
