How Long Does The Pain From Pericarditis Last?

how long does the pain from pericarditis last? I was diagnosed on the 18 th of Sept.

Prescribed naproxen 2x a day for 10 days (ren.1x) and colchicine 2x a day for 3 months.

Still have pain and pressure in my chest right up to the base of my neck.

Thank you.

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

That depends on the underlying cause
Generally, it last a few days to weeks
In conditions like Dressler’s, it can last for months or years…
The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
