General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The urinary stent is usually placed for around a period of 2-3 weeks duration depending upon the underlying concern of the urinary tract.

However, if there is an infection, bleeding, pain or other issues the due consideration should be taken to remove the stent early or replacement of the stent with a newer one.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
