within how many days HIV report will come? if we had unsafe sex within how many days our body will get HIV virus? my friend had affair with a girl, later he came to know tat girl has slept with many boys every time he had safe sex but once condon was broken while having sex n soon they realized condom was broken n changed it. this happened one year before before 5 months in rainy season got admitted to hospital because of fever, doctor told him his liver was bit swelled might be of viral fever. all test was -be like flu, malaria , tyfoid, swine flu , blood culture n all now he s fine but he s scare of HIV infection?

There is two types of HIV tests are available.
1. Antigen test - P24, DNA PCR tests will become positive and reliable after 3-4 weeks of risky exposure.
2. Antibody tests - Elisa, rapid tests are become positive within 8-12 weeks after the risky exposure. Reports will be available on the same day with the antibody tests.
