How Good And Reliable Are The Non Invasive Cta Tests ?
ive had all sorts of heart tests in the last 5 months,4 trips to er with chest pressure and uncomfortable feelings and every time theyve discharged me within 3 or 4 hours.i still cant seem to get the thought out of my head that theres something wrong with my heart.ive had ekgs,chest xrays,blood work and i had a non invasive cta where dye is injected into an iv and you put your hands over your head for a couple minutes,its in like a donut shaped thing,i have 2 questions.1st question is how good and reliable are the non invasive cta tests?it came up as me having no blockage at all.and 2nd question is i just had an ekg at doctors yesterday and they said that it was good,but my heart was racing.but my pulse was only at 90 or so.is this a troubling result or is it nothing to worry about?and also if something was found on the ekg that was troubling wouldnt they send you for more tests?also to let you know im on blood pressure meds and zolft for depression and anxiety.ty

Now you are feeling chest pressure, and discomfort. You had EKG,CHEST XRAY,,BLOOD WORK,NON INVASIVE CTA,WITH DYE.
you are not satisfied with the negative result, the tests have.
The reasons for such symptoms may be the cervical spondylosis, or gasreic hyper acidity, due to the irritant foods, or peptic ulcer, or anxiety.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis. If some thing is confirmed you can approach either of the doctors.
If you are not satisfied with the above you can have echo cardiogram, angioplasty, and thread meal test to exclude the cardiac invlovement.
