Welcome to HCM.
If the block in the artery is diagnosed within six hours of it's occurrence, drugs to dissolve the thrombus are available, such as streptokinase. Later on surgical procedures are needed, called angioplasty where through catheter the region of block is reached and retaining stent is placed through the block or balloon angioplasty where the blocked area is dilated by balloon dilatation. If these measures are unsuccessful then bypass surgery is required.
After surgery patient is put on anti platelet therapy, with restriction of fat intake and diet control.
