How Can Weight Gain Be Prevented?

I am a 55 year old relatively active woman. Recently I have gained 3-4 pounds. I know that doesn t sound like much but I have thin legs and arms and when I gain it is in the stomach. I weight lift (not too heavily) twice a week and walk 2-4 times a week. I would like to weight 132 pounds. How many calories can I eat a day?

Hello,

You need 1800-2000calories per day. So plan for calorie deficit food, Use more vegetables and fruits in your diet. Avoid spicy food and fast food. Eat more stomach-filling food with fewer calories.

Also, check for hypothyroidism and anemia or heart failure etcetera to confirm that no fluid retention. If weight not improved, please consult your nutrition specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
