Hello please help me I am having horrible pain in my vagina. 2 days ago I started noticing what I thought was a cut down close by my vagina hole and it s getting more painful everyday and now I m getting chunky white discharge. I get checked regularly for STD s and had a pelvic exam a couple weeks ago which came back normal.

What seems to me is that you had a painful, unprotected intercourse recently. There is nothing to get alarmed though, Ma'am. Your creamy white discharge is probably from a 'Thrush' that you have probably acquired through that unprotected intercourse or from improper genital hygiene. It is a common occurrence in females of Reproductive age group.

For managing this you will need either Nizoral crème [Ketoconazole ointment ] or Clotrimazole ointment. Both are antifungals that work against Candida- the most common organism implicated in candida infection of the genitals.

If the condition recurs, please first get your fasting blood sugar tested two times on two different occasions.. Fungal infections usually don't occur in people with normal persons. There must be an underlying immune deficient state and Diabetes is one.

If the condition still recurs, please take a course of Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice a day plus Flagyl 500 mg twice a day for 7 days if you have no known allergies. Since both of these medications are prescription drugs it will be a better idea to get an opinion of your Gynaecologist first.

Hope that helped.
