How Can Severe Backachee And Pain In The Legs Be Treated?

HELLO, when I was 19 or 20 I got my first job in a cheese factory and worked there for 25 years. This job consisted of a lot of lifting and bending with weight (@50 lbs). I palletized before and after a pallet lift was brought into the plant and had numbness in my legs and my back was always hurting. In about the same time period I was diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma. After the company let me go I was also told that my skull is fractured and I have a tumor behind my left eye. In 2016 I had this tumor removed, which created multiple side effects. Personally I believe the surgery was not performed with the appropriate care. Anyway, I just wanted to give you a little background. Currently I have severe back pain, which causes me to be nautious and dizzy. I have had bad anxiety since the tumor surgery and my vision seems impaired. My left leg is numb from the back to the knee with shooting pain (sometimes constant pain). Walking is very very difficult, almost feels like my knee goes backwards (I m sure it doesn t) and I have fallen several times. I do my best at working as a cashier but this also causes bad pain within 3 hours and by 4 I am almost crying. I have seen several Dr.s, been given 4 shots in the nerve (which did nothing), been to many different physical therapy appts., and have not found anything to even relieve the pain. Ibuprofen does help for a little bit. Recently I read something about a buildup of bone on one of the vertibret that makes the opening for the spinal cord smaller and when the tissues and muscles get worked they swell and the spinal cord gets pinched creating pain and numbness. I can not find the article and do not know the name of this condition but was hoping you could fill me in about it, give me any suggestions for relief, or have a direction I can lead my doctor. Sorry so long, I just wanted to give you a little history Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank You Angie Before you waste your time I want to inform you that I cannot pay for this. Sorry I did not realize this was a payment thing. I was hoping for just some input. Thank you so very much Sorry Angie

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

you can take aceclofenac and paracetamol tab twice a day for 5 days
you can take rabeprazole tab twice a day for 5 days

apply diclofenac spray on affected site
apply warm water bag on affected site

if not resolved then consult your orthopedic surgeon
do xray of affected part
do physiotherapy, it is also helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
