How Can Rashes On The Legs Be Treated?

I am using ammonium Lactate 12% Lotion for a skin lesion that has been present for at least 4 years. It started on my ankle and now covers an area of about 10 x 6 and less on the other leg. Using the cream doesn t help. I get huge dry scales and if they come off by clothing rubbing of after a shower which I don t touch, just use a separate towel to pay dry and then reapply the lotion. Where the dry scabs were, they begin to drain out a clear puss. Right now my pants are very wet. pfrishett

Hi Dear,

As per your symptoms of rashes on legs seems folliculitis and allergic rashes which could be due to entrapment of dust and bacteria as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist without any delay and get complete examination done. Go for allergic test and start treatment. You should avoid touching or pricking these rashes. Apply cold compresses on skin. Apply calamine to soothe any kind of itching. Avoid new bath gel as it could be due to allergic reaction to any of the ingredient.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get well Soon.

Best Wishes,
