How Can Poor Blood Circulation Be Treated?

I am ttc and have terrible blood circulation. I am wondering if it is safe to take baby asprin to improve circulation while ttc. I am an elementary school teacher, so I move around at work all day. I try to exercise a couple of times a week, ski and do some yoga. Still suffer from cold/numb extremities. Is asprin safe?

Hello,

Cold and Numb extremities do not always indicate its a poor circulation it could be due to some other causes too.

Being a TTC I understand your job which will demand you to be on standing for a prolonged period of time.

Relaxation workouts like yoga will help to some extent but in your case, we have to identify and treat the cause to cure it completely. Here are a few things you should know:

1) Don't take Baby Aspirin without checking with your physician.

2) Elevate your legs while laying down.

3) Wear comfortable footwear, try using breathing shoes of your size.

4) I will suggest a patient with such symptoms to take a random blood glucose test to rule out diabetes.

5) Vitamin B12 supplementation will help if its due to nerve issues.

If symptoms persist kindly visit a doctor, you may require a physical examination and few investigations if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
