How Can Pain Due To Shingles Be Treated?

My girlfriend has shingles and has to wait weeks for her appointment. We ve been online looking for something for the pain, etc.. The 3 medications I found are Penciclovir, Acyclovir cream, and domeboro, all available over the counter so far as I can tell.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

In shingles blister and rashes are very painful

Treatment done with antihistaminic drug and for pain if needed anti inflammatory NSAIDs group drug used

If presentation severe then for speedy recovery acyclovir tablet can be prescribed

If inflammation increasing and antihistaminic not effective then steroid course can be prescribed

Topical calamine lotion application beneficial

I will suggest you to consult nearby doctor for getting prescription

Take care

Hope your concern solved
