How Can Pain Due To Herniated Disc Be Treated?

I haven t been able to get into see a spine specialist for over 2 weeks (my appointment is this Wednesday), so I ve been taking Norco, MethylPREDSOlone tablets from a pack and Voltaren twice a day. I m still in tremendous pain from what looks like a reactivated herniated disc. How is this good medicine to have a patient wait so long for good treatment? I asked for an MRI, but I guess the specialist orders that.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
even when you order MRI it just diagnoses the condition
but to treat herniated disc you need good physiotherapy session intraferential therapy and traction
along with nerve pain medicine like gabapentine 300 mg and methyl cobalamine Vitamin B12
