Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My two year old grandbaby has a terrible stuffy nose. This is the second night of little sleep for her. I also laid her head down, at an angle, on my legs while patting her back for a minute with little results. She has no fever. Her cough, (little during the day & almost silent at nigh) is a bit deep. She will not allow me to place anything close to her nose. Is a hot steamy shower my only option? Thanks bunches, Kacies Gabby
Understanding your concern. As per your query your grandbaby have symptoms of nasal congestion which seems to be due to flu or common cold. I would suggest you to take preventive measures. Give diet rich in vitamin B12. Maintain complete hygiene and give water water to sip. apply mist humidifiers in room. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit pediatrician without any delay and get it examined. Go for blood test and start treatment after complete examination. Take combination of anti inflammatory and anti allergic medication. Give child mild steam inhalation as it will give instant relief.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
