How Can Muscle Cramps On The Left Calf Be Treated?

Last week or so I had a severe charley horse in my left calf. Once I worked it out , I noticed the next morning a red mark across the whole calf area. It s still there but less noticeable. Is this something to be concerned about or just part of the process from a charley horse?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Aceclofenac and Paracetamol tab twice a day for 5 days. You can take Rabeprazole tab twice a day for 5 days. Apply Diclofenac spray on affected site. Apply warm water bag on affected site. If not resolved then consult your orthopedic surgeon. Do X-ray of affected part and do physiotherapy, it is also helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
