Dear Ma;am, Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for your beloved husband who seems to have developed alcohol withdrawal syndrome.
It is a potentially life-threatening condition that can occur in people who have been drinking heavily for weeks, months, or years and then either stop or significantly reduce their alcohol consumption.

The symptoms can begin as early as two hours after the last drink, persist for weeks, and range from mild anxiety and shakiness, sweating (cold hands), nausea, vomiting, headache to severe complications, such as seizures and delirium tremens.
He needs to be treated in the hospital specialised in alcohol de-addiction programmes and the treatment includes the use of medications benzodiazepines, such as Diazepam, Chlordiazepoxide, or Clorazepate.
Such medications can help control the shakiness, anxiety, and confusion associated with alcohol withdrawal and reduce the risk of withdrawal seizures and delirium tremens.
Once the symptoms are controlled then he needs to undergo treatment by other drugs such as Naltrexone or Disulfiram to reduce the craving for alcohol.
Hope the suggestions given above would be beneficial to him in getting rid off alcohol.
Best wishes.
