General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern.
I am sorry to say but cirrhosis of liver is a irrversible condition.
Kindly get a Liver function test, Serum amylase and lipase levels to check for pancreatitis.
first and foremost, your partner has to stop consuming alcohol completely. This will further deteriorate the liver cirrhosis.
He will have to admitted at a hospital and if pancreatititis is present nothing has be given by mouth and he would be kept on i.v fluids.
Liver protective agents like L ornithine L aspartate can be started along with multi vitamins.
The definite treatment would be a liver transplantation.

Hope this helps.
Thanks for choosing HCM
