How Can Hypertension And Fatigue Be Treated?

I have fatty liver, I ve had ulcers in the past, I have dropped 25 lbs in 3 weeks, suffered from High Blood Pressure enough to be admitted for observation after Multiple EKG s showed possible anterior MI, but the blood tests came back negative (highest BP 192/102). After 14 hr s of nitro paste, my BP was regulated to 120-130/70-80 but less then one day later I m back up to 164/90. The only physical symptom is fatigue and a feeling of general sickness... Dr s don t know where to start.... any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

In your situation, I need some more information for example, What is your age? What is your gender? Are you taking any drug to control hypertension? What are your pulse rate and your fasting lipid profile status?

As you said you had ECG and it shows some changes for myocardial infarction which were negative on a blood test. You are having fatigue and I need to control high blood pressure. Fatigue is a very common symptom in my blood pressure. High blood pressure cause fatigue in different ways but there are some strategies to improve your health condition. First, you need to start low-intensity exercise. I have so many patients who felt better after low-intensity exercise and also you can use muscle relaxants.

Secondly, your doctors don't know where to start antihypertensive drugs to control your blood pressure. I need to know about your pulse rate and when you had ECG and any changes observed. I would also like to know whether you had chest pain at that moment and was it a radiating towards neck or back or jaw. If it was your complaint then you might have angina pectoris and need nitrates or beta blockers.

If you are hypertensive, don't have any other secondary cause and it is primary hypertension then ace inhibitors should be started at first line to control blood pressure, for example, Enalapril, Lisinopril etc. I need to monitor your blood pressure and make blood pressure chart with pulse rate.

You need to change your lifestyle and diet. You need salt restriction. If you are having a sedentary lifestyle then you need to change it. You can also utilize sunlight because is helpful in decreasing blood pressure slightly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
